When you install Paperbot on your Slack team, it joins similarly to a new team member.

Because it runs on Slack's interface, it requires a few permissions to join channels and interact with other team members, just as other chatbots do.

These permissions are necessary to enable the bot to:

  • Confirm user’s profile and team name
  • Add a user with the username @paperbot
  • Access channels where it is invited
  • Send messages as @paperbot
  • Add content to Skore*

As the product evolves, we may update this article, so we recommend you check back here regularly. To learn more about how we collect and use data, review our Privacy Policy.

*For accounts where Paperbot and Skore have been connected.
